Towels are used to dry your body, hands or to dry things. It can also be used to clean something. It is used by almost everyone regardless of age or gender. This is used by women, men, children, and babies. This piece of fabric comes in different colors, sizes, and designs. It also has different usage depending on its type.
There are a wide variety of towels to choose from. There are bath towels, beach, foot, paper, sports, sweat, gym, tea, face, wet, sanitary, bar, kitchen, spa, wash cloth towels. This cloth has a lot of usage. They can be used as for as dryers cleaners, comforters, blankets, sun blocks, accessories or decorations, strainers, insulators and scarves. Towels can be classified into different kinds based on their usage, the materials or fabric being used, according to their styles, patterns, and the purpose they serve. The most common type of identifying its usage depends on the size of the towel.
Most Common Kinds of Towels
* Bath towel – It is a large piece of towel used to dry your body after bathing. It is rectangular in shape and comes in different designs and colors.
* A Beach Towel is used after swimming. It can also be used as a carpet on the sand. Some beach towels come in convertible styles, brightly colored and much larger than bath towels.
* A Wash Cloth towel is the smallest towel and is used for very personal purposes.
* A Hand towel is usually used to dry hands and placed near the sink for easy access.
* A Foot towel is used to dry the foot separately after bathing.
* Sweat Towel – This is used at the gym, during sports and by people whose jobs require heavy sweating.
You can use a towel according to its purpose. Some towels are used as promotion and accessories at the bar, restaurants, hotels and other commercial establishments. Some may consider the towels as decorations to their home, a complete set of appropriate color scheme gives one’s bathroom a coordinated look and make the room attractive to visitors. Others prefer to use towels primarily on the basis of quality. What’s more important are the thickness, width and materials used in deciding which towels are best.
How often one washes its towel also depends on his or her personal hygiene. Some wash it right after using it and some people hang and just letting it dry after using their bath towels. Therefore, anyone can enjoy different types of towels as long as you are comfortable of the way it look and the way you use it.
Jane Cook is a dedicated wife and a mother of three. She likes to compliment their towels, or “Handtuecher” (as she calls it in German), with the colors and design in their rooms at home.
