If all is well then spray the solution over the stained area. Start around the edges working towards the center. Then, remove excess moisture by dabbing the dampened area with your towels or cloth. Next, get more kitchen towels or another cloth and spread over the area. Stack the towels 6 to 8 inches deep. Secure the towels by placing a heavy object (i.e. a thick book) on top. Leave the arrangement overnight. Repeat this process if necessary.
The NCCA also reminds individuals that when cleaning the carpet, just dab or blot. Do not ever scrub or rub as this doesn’t only lead to deterioration of the carpet; it will also move the stain even further into the carpet. Additionally, the NCCA firmly advises to not ever, ever over-wet! Take notice however that the methods stated earlier may not be successful 100% of the time.
